Investigate Thanos Operator(s)

There is at least on reasonable Thanos Operator available. This helps with dealing with some of the complexities, for example never having more than one compactor running at the same time per object storage bucket.

https://github.com/banzaicloud/thanos-operator seems to be the leading option.

It appears there is a separate helm repo for this.
