Feedback and follow up from auto-deploy transition
This is an issue to collect any questions and new feedback after gitlab-org/release/docs!128 (merged) has been merged and announcement to wider engineering at GitLab Inc has been completed.
Auto-deploy document and auto-deploy transition document contain the details of the process iteration towards the full CD.
As noted in gitlab-org/release/docs!128 (comment 173599656), and I'm adding that:
We are fully aware that this process is not perfect, and that there are a lot of edge cases.
We are making a shift from a process that has been established for years, and we expect for things to be confusing, unclear at first.
Please provide feedback as you read through the documentation, but also as you go through the process so that we can make changes as we go through the shift.Thank you!
