Review the Deployment SLO target
Context
The deployment SLO is a Delivery metric measuring the deployment pipeline duration up to the completion of the production deployment, for starters, an SLO of 8 hours was set.
The duration of the coordinated pipeline has evolved due to two different events:
- Introduction of mixed-deployment testing caused a pipeline re-order &608 (closed)
- Post-migrations were carved out of the coordinated pipeline &585 (closed)
These events reduced the deployment pipeline duration, making the 8h SLO to be outdated
Proposal:
With the improved deployment pipeline visibility from Build Pipeline observability foundations (&757 - closed), review the Deployment SLO metric and target and decide on how to make more actionable
Possible improvements:
- Adjust the deployment target SLO to 7 hours
- Go back to #1362 (closed) and consider adding additional information to make this metric actionable
