QA workshop for delivery team

For most tasks that the delivery team is dealing with, running QA tests is an important part. But there is a lot of context and knowledge needed to understand how, when and why QA is running, when it is allowed to fail and what to do on failures. While we have great support from the quality team it still would be good to have the needed knowledge within the delivery team to be able to make operational decisions or trigger QA pipelines in the right way when needed.

We should try to cover

  • What kinds of QA pipelines do we have? Where and in which situation do we run them? Where are they triggered from?
  • Run through of QA during auto_deploy
  • Run through of QA during a patch/security/monthly release
  • How can we manually trigger QA pipelines in different envs?
  • How to solve typical problems

Let's try to find resources and people to teach us and organize a workshop! The outcome should be

  • finding GitLab QA docs and people to teach us
  • organize workshop sessions
  • create QA overview documentation
  • create QA runbooks
