Automatic gitaly version bump will stop working in 10 months
With GitLab 16.0 the ability to create Project Access Tokens that never expires have been removed gitlab-org/gitlab#392855 (closed)
Because of that, all the existing Project Access Tokens received a 12 months expiration date.
We rely on one of those bots, @project_278964_bot6, to automate the gitaly version bump (i.e. gitlab-org/gitlab!122823 (merged)).
In 10 months from today, the token we are using in release tools will expire, but it will not be possible to generate a new one without generating a new bot user. The implication of this is that we will also need to update the relevant lines for CODEOWNERS as well as all the old merge request will now link to the Ghost User.
Unless we change the way we approve those MRs, the boring solution here will be to generate a new bot before the token expire, add it to the codewoners, swap the token on release-tools, and finally remove the old one from codeowners.
