Source Code development tracking for Branch Rules backend development components ## Parent Issue https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/work_items/20360+ ## Overview We are pursuing a change to how protections are applied to branches in Gitlab with consideration for the use of "Policies" to apply restrictions to any branch based on predefined policies.
