##### Apply label when assigned as reviewer

You can create a Gmail filter that adds a label to any GitLab notification email in which you are assigned as a reviewer:

1. Search for `from:(gitlab@mg.gitlab.com) "(Reviewer) (Firstname Lastname)"`.

1. Click the down arrow on the right side of the search field.

1. Click **Create filter with this search**.

1. Check **Apply the label:** and select a label to add, or create a new one, such as "Assigned".

1. Check **Also apply filter to matching conversations**.

1. Click **Create filter**.

##### Apply label when MR is merged

You can create a Gmail filter that adds a label to any GitLab notification email in which an MR has been merged:

1. Search for `from:(gitlab@mg.gitlab.com) "Merge Request"+"was merged"`.

1. Click the down arrow on the right side of the search field.

1. Click **Create filter with this search**.

1. Check **Apply the label:** and select a label to add, or create a new one, such as "Merged".

1. Check **Also apply filter to matching conversations**.

1. Click **Create filter**.
