### Technical Implementation & Issue Resolution
- Work through existing backlog of identified accessibility issues
- Implement accessibility solutions using semantic HTML, ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript, following WCAG guidelines
- Conduct code reviews for accessibility compliance and provide actionable feedback
- Identify new issues through automated and manual testing
### Process & Documentation
- Create and maintain accessibility documentation, including guidelines and best practices
- Improve accessibility testing and development processes
- Develop organized backlogs for systematic issue resolution
- Maintain Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) by evaluating the product against accessibility standards
### Training & Enablement
- Provide basic accessibility training and guidance to UX and development teams
- Enable designers, engineers and PMs to deliver the most accessible features possible
### Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work alongside the Design Systems team on shared accessibility goals
- Partner with designers and frontend engineers across GitLab to deliver accessible features
- Support existing product teams in prioritizing and resolving known accessibility issues
### Culture Building
- Create opportunities for hands-on learning through bug bashes and other initiatives
- Host office hours, Q&A sessions and deep dives on specific accessibility challenges
- Engage directly with users with disabilities to build empathy and understanding
- Build a culture of advocacy throughout the organization
