Title: The things that you know (and some that you don’t).
Summary: It’s a great title for a song (shoutout to Alien Weaponry from New Zealand \o/ ) and it also explains how we’re seeing organisations approaching DevOps from a “legacy” mindset, and by that I mean, taking their multitude of existing tools (how many can you tick off in “DevOps Bingo!) and making them all work in a DevOps Daisy Chain.
If you don’t know any better or know what “better” could look like then why would you look to change what you have or improve? Change is hard but it’s even harder when things are going well or are perceived to be the best they can be because no-one wants to change what they think is a winning formula.
