Remove UX content from product handbook
There is some UX content in the product handbook. Some of it is different from the UX Department content, some is similar but redundant. Before I make changes I wanted to see if anyone in Product has strong feelings about changing this.
What I'd do if I made the MR:
-
Easy UX: Change this to a statement about why/how Product values UX and have a link to the UX Department page. DONE - www-gitlab-com!43446 (merged)
-
Simplicity: Remove this section and point to design system principles in Pajamas. DONE - www-gitlab-com!43446 (merged)
-
Discoverability: This section contains details about design patterns for empty states, banners and navigation, which should be documented in the design system, not in the handbook. We should confirm whether these patterns are part of the design system, make sure the documentation is complete and consistent, then replace the content in the product handbook with links to the design system. IN PROGRESS - www-gitlab-com!49048 (merged)

Configuration has a few design guidelines that (if UX team agrees these are the right guidelines based on customer needs) would be better placed where designers can find and follow them, either the UX Department handbook or Pajamas.
