Add additional role after Principal Product Manager in PM Job Family Ladder
Overview
In the Product CDF Working group we discussed the need to create vertical mobility for roles for ICs including beyond Principal, between Senior and Principal, as well as an entry-level PM before Intermediate PM.

Next steps
- Decide on path to adding APM
- Under active consideration. Working on finding the first product position that would fit this and crafting the expectations for this role.
- Decide on path to adding Principal+ Roles
- Under consideration for sometime in FY23 Working on defining what the requirements for this would be. Business need, demonstrable skills, results and so on. We want to create a Distinguished PM position.
- Decide on path to adding Staff PM
- Decision: No plan. This feels like an additional layer that is hard to explain and quantify. Given Job Grades already established, adding another level in between is hard and can lead to a lot of unnecessary and undesirable ramifications. Therefore we have decided to abandon this idea. We consulted with People Ops and got alignment.
