Set up a planet aggregation site aggregating blogs of folks associated with Git
planet.gnome.org, planet.debian.org, planet.freedesktop.org, and several other similar sites aggregate blogs of people associated with those projects. Those posts are often about work related to the organization in question, but sometimes also just give a peek at the life of people heavily associated with the project. It provides a way to disseminate ideas that aren't fully baked, or provide fun debugging stories, or just give a glimpse into what other folks you work with are thinking of. I personally thought these sites foster a greater feeling of community; a way for folks to get to know each other better, or for outside folks to keep a slightly curated pulse on a community that doesn't take as much work as following mailing lists. I started a blog solely to be on planet.gnome.org many years ago, and quit blogging once I stopped working with Gnome -- but I still periodically read planet.gnome.org, and will occasionally check into some of the other planet sites as well.
It may be that blog posts aggregated here later get selected, edited, improved, etc., and posted somewhere special that we designate for curated content (as suggested in other issues here).
