Topic
The Present (And Future) Of Collaboration: Embracing Opportunities Amidst Tensions
Description
Please describe the nature of your session activity
Being an action researcher and practitioner of new paradigms of work for the past two decades, I'd like to share a few observations of the tensions we often find ourselves in while working in the DWeb space. Such tensions are deeply imprinted by our long-held assumptions about work, money, power, and what collaboration means to each of us. I will invite you to explore how we can see and embrace the opportunities that are embedded in the unique conditions of working in the DWeb space.
More fulfilling and productive way of working together are not only possible, but also capable of transforming the nature of human collaboration in the larger society. The future of work is already here: The DWeb world is one of its first incubators.

What will participants take away?
The listeners will get a glimpse of the deeper taken-for-granted assumptions that often lead to tensions in team collaborations. They will be invited to the two workshops that I will host to re-imagine what else is possible in the larger DWeb ecosystem as well as their everyday work.

Relevant Experience -- share why you'll be great!
I have been an action researcher and consultant in organizational design and development for about two decades. I have studied self-organizing teams, decentralized organizing, holacracy, teal organizations and other new paradigms of work which intends to empower human collaboration and challenge unhealthy power dynamics. I love talking with leaders from the trenches and support them. I delight in designing and hosting social spaces and innovative "sandboxes" that integrate contemplative, creative, and strategic elements into learning for organizational leaders, community stewards, and purpose-driven individuals.
