Add a `QualifiedName` (or equivalent) property to `System.Rtti.TRttiType` for Delphi compatibility.
## Summary
Add a `QualifiedName` property to `System.Rtti.TRttiType` for Delphi compatibility.
In Delphi, [`TRttiType.QualifiedName`](https://docwiki.embarcadero.com/Libraries/Alexandria/en/System.Rtti.TRttiType.QualifiedName) returns the fully-qualified name of a type (including unit/namespace). Free Pascal’s `Rtti.TRttiType` currently does not provide this property, which breaks otherwise portable Delphi code that relies on `QualifiedName` for logging, diagnostics, and reflection-based frameworks.
This is a feature request to:
- Add `TRttiType.QualifiedName: string` property.
- Align behavior with Delphi as closely as possible for cross-compiler compatibility.
## Example Project
Minimal example showing intended usage (compiles on Delphi, but fails on FPC because `TRttiType.QualifiedName` does not exist).
**QualifiedNameDemo.dpr**
```pascal
program QualifiedNameDemo;
{$IFDEF FPC}
{$MODE DELPHI}
{$ENDIF}
{$APPTYPE CONSOLE}
uses
SysUtils,
Rtti,
TypInfo,
DemoTypes in 'DemoTypes.pas';
var
Ctx: TRttiContext;
RType: TRttiType;
begin
Ctx := TRttiContext.Create;
try
// Class type
RType := Ctx.GetType(TMyClass);
if RType <> nil then
Writeln('Class QualifiedName: ', RType.QualifiedName)
else
Writeln('Class RTTI not found');
// Record type
RType := Ctx.GetType(TypeInfo(TMyRecord));
if RType <> nil then
Writeln('Record QualifiedName: ', RType.QualifiedName)
else
Writeln('Record RTTI not found');
// Interface type
RType := Ctx.GetType(TypeInfo(IMyInterface));
if RType <> nil then
Writeln('Interface QualifiedName:', RType.QualifiedName)
else
Writeln('Interface RTTI not found');
// Dynamic array type (array of Integer)
RType := Ctx.GetType(TypeInfo(TArray<Integer>));
if RType <> nil then
Writeln('Array QualifiedName: ', RType.QualifiedName)
else
Writeln('Array RTTI not found');
finally
Ctx.Free;
end;
Writeln;
Writeln('Press ENTER to exit...');
Readln;
end.
```
**DemoTypes.pas**
```pascal
unit DemoTypes;
interface
type
// Simple class
TMyClass = class
end;
// Simple record
TMyRecord = record
A, B: Integer;
end;
// Simple interface
IMyInterface = interface
['{6BB98F7E-4B9E-4C88-8F76-90C2E47FB3D9}']
procedure DoSomething;
end;
implementation
end.
```
### Current Behavior on FPC
- `TRttiType` in unit `Rtti` does **not** expose `QualifiedName`.
- The example above fails to compile with an error similar to:
> `QualifiedNameDemo.dpr(24,49) Error: Identifier idents no member "QualifiedName""`
### Expected Behavior
- `TRttiType` exposes a `QualifiedName` property similar to Delphi’s `TRttiType.QualifiedName`.
- The example compiles and prints fully qualified names (e.g. `DemoTypes.TMyClass`, `DemoTypes.TMyRecord`, etc.), or whatever naming scheme FPC’s RTTI uses for unit/type qualification.
For Comparison, this is what the demo prints when run in Delphi
```text
Class QualifiedName: DemoTypes.TMyClass
Record QualifiedName: DemoTypes.TMyRecord
Interface QualifiedName:DemoTypes.IMyInterface
Array QualifiedName: System.TArray<System.Integer>
Press ENTER to exit...
```
## Relevant 3rd party information
Delphi documentation for `TRttiType.QualifiedName` (Alexandria):
- https://docwiki.embarcadero.com/Libraries/Alexandria/en/System.Rtti.TRttiType.QualifiedName
Having a compatible `QualifiedName` in FPC would:
- Simplify porting Delphi code that uses RTTI.
- Improve interoperability with existing Delphi libraries and examples.
- Reduce the need for conditional compilation or custom helper functions to reconstruct fully-qualified type names.
