Feature-Idea: Live-Stacking
With a friend of mine I recently came across the idea of a live-stacking feature in Siril. Siril could monitor a directory with images or SER-sequences, or a single SER-file to generate a stacked preview of the captures images live while the capture is running.
Could be a feature for a future version of Siril. What do you think?
Thanks.
Here's an up-to-date summary of this very long ticket: work has started and some features for live stacking have been integrated in 1.2. Some optional features were postponed for a later version in their own tickets like #784, #785, #786. Some more important details or features are still opened as discussions below, let's keep the list here too:
-
improve error handling? -
display noise or FWHM measurements in the small graph added to the window -
apply linear background gradient removal on incoming calibrated images -
allow DSLR RAW images as input -
allow DSLR RAW images as input for commands -
find a way to enable 16 bit (faster) operations while not changing the main settings silently -
display time required to process an image -
create a seqfile that contains all files and fix normalization -
start paused instead of directly on red button click -
shift-only registration option -
improving GUI to the minimum usable -
remove temporary files
