Signing in to the desktop app left every following request unauthenticated, because the webview and the server it embeds are different origins and the session cookie could not travel between them. The client now uses a device token instead. Also: the sync settings are reachable from the projects and sign-in screens rather than only from inside a project, and a failed project list reports the failure instead of showing loading skeletons forever.
