Make date in event a mandatory field
The date of an calendar event isn't mandatory. If you leave it away your event will be created today. If today get's set and the end time is in the past your currently added event is gone (since it is over).
Steps to reproduce
create new event
fill out every mandatory (*) fields
What is the current bug behavior?
Date field is not mandatory.
What is the expected correct behavior?
It should be mandatory.
Relevant error messages and/or screenshots
Set it as mandatory, check if it is filled out and give it a star (*)
Maybe don't check if the date is in the past since this is currently the only way to "delete" an event. At least not if editing it.
