Mailbox shows wrong unread message number
Summary
Some mailboxes show a non-zero number of unread messages even if all messages were marked as read. This is visible in the list on the left side of the mailbox page. A re-login does not fix the problem.

What is the current bug behavior?
The mailbox list shows the unread messages count but the email list does not show any unread messages.
What is the expected correct behavior?
If there are unread messages, they should be visible in the email list. After all messages were opened, the number should go to zero and disappear.

Possible fixes
This might be
- a frontend problem: maybe the number isn't updated properly (unlikely because it would be fixed after reloading the page)
- a backend problem: the unread message count might use a different filter than the list of emails
