As can be read in this article: https://privsec.dev/posts/android/f-droid-security-issues/ , F-Droid has many unaddressed security issues. Because of this, I think it would be great for the project if there were an APK included in every release. This would make it possible for users to either download FindMyDevice directly from GitbLab or use apps such as Obtainium (https://github.com/ImranR98/Obtainium) to obtain and update the FindMyDevice app. Most apps available on F-Droid already do this, so I don't see any reasons why FindMyDevice wouldn't. I am certain this would benefit the overall security for users of the FindMyDevice app, and help it reach out to an even bigger audience of privacy and security enthusiasts than it has today.
