Unable to purchase robber's rig from fishing guild for GP.

Tried to purchase a robber's rig from the guild point vendor and was unable to. After turning in and attempting to purchase 1 rig you are met with a "please come back after sorting your inventory" message. Inventory was empty minus a linkpearl and misc. items (plenty of slots open) and there were no possible known conflicts with it. A restart did not fix the issue.
