fetchmail manpage lists sslproto options which fetchmail does not recognise
This is in relation to release 6.4.8+GSS+NTLM+SDPS+SSL-SSLv2-SSLv3+NLS+KRB5.
fetchmail --help says in part:
--sslproto force ssl protocol (see manual)
The man page says for sslproto:
--sslproto <name> (Keyword: sslproto) Forces an ssl protocol. Possible values are `ssl2', `ssl3' and `tls1'. Try this if the default handshake does not work for your server.
But that is an incorrect list of values - some of them are not recognised. strings /usr/bin/fetchmail | egrep -i "(tls|ssl)" suggests the actual values recognised are
ssl23
ssl3
ssl3+
tls1
tls1+
tls1.1
tls1.1+
tls1.2
tls1.2+
tls1.3
tls1.3+
Note that ssl2 is not in that list, and most of those options are not listed in the man page. If the sslproto values are compile-time configurable, perhaps fetchmail's --help option should be changed to report the actual sslproto values that are accepted?
