How does "trust host fingerprint" work?
Hello, I am trying to understand how the "Trust host fingerprint" option works and I must admit that I don't understand it very well: When I click on "Trust host fingerprint" an hexadecimal sequence appears. This one does not correspond to any found with the commands :
ssh-keygen -E md5 -lf /etc/ssh/ssh_host_ecdsa_key.pub
ssh-keygen -E md5 -lf /etc/ssh/ssh_host_ed25519_key.pub
ssh-keygen -E md5 -lf /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key.pub
What is the explanation? How does syncopoly get another value? Thanks for your help. Pascal
