Write articles (internal content)

This WIKI will be better with the help of author contributors.

Currently, there are two stub articles ('Knowledge' page)

  • "FAQ for newcomers"
  • "Why use federated networks"

I planned to write those myself, but will appreciate any help. Doubly grateful for a contribution from an author who is not a developer or administrator, to help create user-friendly articles. Easy to grasp for non-English speakers. Well-structured and informative. That's the goal. :)

FAQ may benefit from being basic: many questions with shorter answers. Terminology explanation: what is "federated" (mentioning that nodes, instances and pods on different platforms all mean a server), specific things (a "channel" in Hubzilla is a profile, a "toot" in Mastodon is a post, etc), what is public and what is private - privacy tips (all data is still accessible by one's server's admin, direct messages in diaspora can't be deleted but limited posts can, one can hide followers in diaspora, Mastodon, Friendica..., etc), etc.

If you're interested in Fediverse networks and would like to write an article about them and to publish it on Fediverse.Party (in "Chronicles", "featured" post), you are most welcome! Author's name will be highlighted. An author's avatar can also be added to an article's visible part.
