### Summary
Download video and audio with a native, open-source Android app
### Description
ZenithW is a free Kotlin/Jetpack Compose Android application using yt-dlp and FFmpeg locally. It supports format/quality selection, audio extraction, download queues, subtitles, playlists, optional SponsorBlock, proxy settings and encrypted cookie sessions. Settings are retained between app launches. The UI supports Turkish, English, German, French and Russian. The app has no ads, required account, Firebase or Google Play Services dependencies.
### F-Droid edition and build
- Application ID: space.zenithw.app.fdroid (distinct from the GitHub stable edition)
- Version: 2.1.3; versionCode: 2001003; minSdk: 24; compile/targetSdk: 36
- JDK 17, Android build-tools 36.0.0, Gradle 8.13, Android Gradle Plugin 8.13.0
- Build command: ./gradlew --no-daemon assembleRelease -Pfdroid=true
- Output: app/build/outputs/apk/release/app-release-unsigned.apk
- A universal unsigned APK is produced without the maintainer's private signing key. F-Droid can sign it with its own key.
- External engine updates, including forced requests, are disabled in the F-Droid edition. Their controls are replaced with an explanation in all five UI languages. Old stored preferences cannot re-enable downloads. Engine updates arrive only through application releases.
- Normal GitHub releases keep their current package, signing and engine updates.
- English and Turkish descriptions and icons are committed under fastlane/metadata/android/.
### Dependency/provenance review requested
The app uses AndroidX, Kotlin coroutines, Coil and io.github.junkfood02.youtubedl-android:library/ffmpeg/aria2c:0.18.1, from Google Maven and Maven Central. The native-tool AAR dependencies require F-Droid's provenance/license review.
The bundled yt-dlp zipapp is the official 2026.08.19 release. Source, version and SHA-256 are recorded in yt-dlp-bundle.json. Upstream source is yt-dlp, pinned to tag 2026.08.19; its source link is in docs/FDROID.md in the app repository. It contains Python source in a ZIP archive. Please advise whether rebuilding this archive from pinned source is required by the packaging review.
This is a packaging/inclusion request, not a claim that F-Droid has already reviewed, signed or published ZenithW. Please flag any further inclusion or build requirements.
