Description:
SimpleSSHD is a SSH server Android app, based on Dropbear, written by Greg Alexander.
It allows user access (user ssh
) or full root access (by setting the login shell to /system/xbin/su
) (if root is allowed).
Everything just simply works, which is awesome and makes my Android device just so much more accessible. Furthermore it has sane defaults (key-based auth only) but also nice mechanisms like easy initial setup through a one-time password and more.
Being able to ssh and rsync with my Android device completely changes the Android game for me and just makes it so much more accissible. I suppose many people would feel the same if discovered through F-Droid.
This is awesome, thank you, Greg!
