Issuebot failing at RFP

I recently saw issuebot failing on many RFPs, ending up scanning https://gitlab.com/fdroid/rfp/-/blob/master/None instead of the upstream repo (you can quickly tell that when you see SDKs/Languages @ None). Problem seems to be it thinks it was called from a MR and does not find the FROM_CI_MERGE_REQUEST_IID variable set properly (it's simply NoneType then). Most recent example: rfp#1778 (closed), I've left some details there from what I saw in the CI log.
