Remove buggy version of SatStat
I have just fixed a bug in SatStat which may give users some trouble. The bug was introduced with version 1.7 a few days ago. I have just committed 1.8, which should be picked up by F-Droid soon.
However, I'd prefer to keep users from downloading 1.7 as the bug may have undesirable side effects.
Is there a way to remove a buggy version of an app from the F-Droid repos?
Background info on the bug in question: SatStat 1.7 changed the way in which automatic AGPS data updates were handled. Users can select networks, and SatStat will re-download AGPS data when one of the selected networks becomes available. An update frequency can be set so that SatStat will not update more than once in the chosen time interval.
Beginning with SatStat 1.7, updates are repeated when that timespan elapses but network connectivity has not changed. Due to a bug, however, the update frequency is not honored; instead, SatStat goes into an infinite update loop, consuming both battery and data volume (~4–5 megabytes in 24 hours).
This affects users who:
- use SatStat 1.7
- have selected at least one network for AGPS updates (by default, none is selected)
- have set an update frequency of "once a day" or longer (default is "every time")
