Fedilab (fr.gouv.etalab.mastodon) developer deliberately coding their app to evade blocks from instance admins

Fedilab's developer quite literally implemented a change designed to evade the block of their app and ensure it can be used on instances that believe the app to be a threat. This is actively harmful behavior, as block evasion is easily one of the most universal reasons to ban someone. If we can't agree on this one, then truly there is no hope for F-Droid.

The reason such a feature exists for instance admins in the first place is so that they can protect their users from malicious apps such as that one iOS app that ultimately tried to violate user's privacy to create a searchable database of posts without their consent. It's basically the app equivalent to instance blocks.
