Iconography

In the user tests conducted in the fall of 2016, we got feedback on the clarity of the icons. Here's what we learned:

Feedback on Icons from 2016 User Tests (Vienna and Zimbabwe Field Tests)

Latest: Many found the latest icon to be more of an alarm icon

Categories: Most didn’t understand the categories icon. Many felt it was too small to see clearly and did not represent a categories feature.

Nearby: Once they understood the nearby feature, they understood the nearby icon

Profile: Everyone understood the profile icon, however they didn’t interpret it necessarily as a place where they could see their apps, which is its main function. They understood it as a profile icon.

Settings: Everyone understood the settings icon
