Rearrange F-Droid projects in a group
Currently, all projects belong to the user "fdroid" on GitLab but there is no "F-Droid user" (except of some regular commits on F-Droid Data), it's more like several people working together in a group on F-Droid.
Advantages
- Central overview over all milestones, issues and merge requests
- Milestones from different projects are grouped up
- Ability to watch every activity on F-Droid (with RSS feed)
- Central webhooks for events in group
- Overview about all projects has more focus than now
- People can be members of the group giving rights to access all projects
- Projects can be shared with group giving access to every member
- Group description
- Group contribution analytics
TODO
Sadly, users on GitLab cannot be simply converted to groups like on GitHub but the steps required to do manually are manageable:
- Transfer all projects from F-Droid user to the already existing F-Droid group
- Rename "fdroid" to something else, then rename the "f-droid" group to "fdroid"
Disadvantages
- Little downtime when transferring projects from "fdroid" to "f-droid"
