wifi swap is super flaky

I can't for the life of me get a reliable wifi swap going. Of my attempts, I think I can get a working swap via wifi about 10% of the time.

Are you seeing this too? Can you think of any quick workarounds to improve this? For example, I see a lot of times where the visible on wifi button freaks out and gets toggled back and forth automatically in a frantic loop. How about just making wifi visibility always on when swap is active? I tried to find my way around the code, but no luck yet.
