Upgrading from 0.83 in Cyanogenmod 7

• Device OS and version: Cyanogenmod 7.2.0-ace (identifies Android version as 2.3.7)
• Device model/manufacturer: HTC Desire HD
• F-Droid version (in the About screen): 0.83
• CPU info: ARMv7 Processor rev 1 (v7l)

What did you do? (clear steps if possible)

1. Open F-Droid
2. Press double-arrow icon to update repositories cache
3. Go to "Updates" tab
4. Select F-Droid
5. Press double-arrow icon to upgrade (seems to download 0.101)
6. Accep to install

What did you expect to see?

End or return to previous screen

What did you see instead?

Screen flashes repeatedly forever, as if ADW desktop fails. Rebooting: problem remains. Cleaning system cache: problem remains. Need to restore a full backup (with cwm recovery) to be able to use the device.

To avoid the problem, I had to make several of upgrades in small steps by version: 0.83 -> 0.88 -> 0.92 -> 0.97 -> 0.98.1 -> 0.99.2 -> 0.100.1 -> 0.101
