Material You and Material 3 Expressive Redesign

Similar posts have been made before but with introduction of a new android design language (Material 3 Expressive) and adoption of Material 3 by Fdroid, this is the best time to talk about this. (This post is a repost of a comment).

Fdroid adopting Material You and possibly Material 3 Expressive is exciting because as the most popular 3rd party store, it can serve as a good example for the apps hosted on it.

The "best implementation of material you section" in https://github.com/nyas1/Material-You-app-list#-best-implementation-of-material-you has examples of material you done perfectly. Additionally, the Aurora Store and Droid-ify clients serve as good examples of what a material you themed app store should look like. Play store simply follows M3 but not dynamic theming (mdy).Additionally, F-droid could become one of the few apps that currently support the new material 3 expressive design by implementing design similar to the new Google TV app (one of my favourite redesigns, with the squiggly circle progress bar and the overall design) as well as Gmail (another good redesign with elegance + predictive back animations). Wikireader serves as the best example of what well-designed Material 3 Expressive app is, it looks beautiful and yet is unobtrusive. Fdroid with Wikireader type floating nav bar would look good as well
