Toast taking up the entire screen

• Device OS and version: Android 15 crDroid
• Device model/manufacturer: Oneplus 9 Pro
• F-Droid version (in the About screen): 1.23.1
• F-Droid privileged extension version (if installed):

What did you do? (clear steps if possible)

Update repos (I pull down the screen to update)

What did you expect to see?

The 'Latest' tab should show the newest updates.

What did you see instead?

Most of the time, the update works as expected. But sometimes, a gigantic toast appears that takes up the entire screen about aborted connections and DNS lookup failures.

If I update the repos again, it works just fine. I don't even mind the error itself, I just hate the full screen toast. Can we get a way to turn off toasts, or at least limit their length?
