After update to Android 16 app previously marked as incompatible is no longer marked as such

  • Device OS and version: GrapheneOS 2025070600
  • Device model/manufacturer: Pixel 6a
  • F-Droid version: 1.23.0

What did you do?

After updating to GrapheneOS 2025070600 (based on Android 16) I opened F-Droid and noticed that the "Latest" tab showed apps that were previously not shown as they were marked as incompatible. For instance, player.efis.data.zar.aus. I was surprised and curios and tried to install the app.

What did you expect to see?

Nothing.

What did you see instead?

An error message saying "Error Installing Kwik DEM (zar.aus) Failed to install due to an unknown error".
