Recognize bad download at 101%
- Device OS and version: Android 7
- Device model/manufacturer: Samsung
- F-Droid version (in the About screen): 1.15.5
- F-Droid privileged extension version (if installed): none
What did you do? (clear steps if possible)
- Installed F-Droid 1.15.5 (clean)
- Updated default F-Droid repo.
- Tried downloading Privacy Browser (although, AFAIK, this issue is not specific to Privacy Browser).
What did you expect to see?
Privacy Browser download successfully or cancel once the downloaded bytes exceeded 100% of expected size.
What did you see instead?
Download continued well past 100% (IIRC, to 121%) at which point the F-Droid Client recognized the download had an issue. As mentioned above, I don't think this issue is specific to Privacy Browser (I'll post another issue regarding that). This issue is regarding the F-Droid client not recognizing that a download has a problem once the size downloaded exceeds 100%. This can be a big issue because, in the past, I have had problematic downloads consume large amounts of bandwidth resources and storage.
