Can't download GmsCore (F-Droid repo)

Device OS and version: LineageOS 17.1-20220211-NIGHTLY-m8
Device model/manufacturer: HTC M8
F-Droid version: 1.15.2
F-Droid privileged extension version (if installed): org.fdroid.fdroid.privileged.ota_2130.zip

What did you do? (clear steps if possible)

Flashed device with LineageOS version, Magisk, F-Droid extension, NanoDroid-patcher
Added to F-Droid client the repository from here via QR-Code
Attempted to install "microG Services Core"

What did you expect to see?

Getting the APK installed

What did you see instead?

The Toast "Nicht installiert" (english: "Not installed")

There exists a github issue.

Downloading the file via wget at a linux host follows the redirects like expected.

I am unsure if this are too much redirects or an issue with the repositoy setup. But I believe this issue might be interesting for F-Droid to look into. At least the error message is very "short".
