Unable to refresh repo indexes

  • Device OS and version: Android 4.2.2 (fresh factory reset)
  • Device model/manufacturer: FairPhone 1U
  • F-Droid version (in the About screen): 1.8 (fresh install)
  • F-Droid privileged extension version (if installed):

What did you do? (clear steps if possible)

  • Went to f-droid website, downloaded the app, installed it.
  • Just a few apps show, so I went to settings and saw only F-Droid repo enabled. It shows no mirrors.
  • Disabled and enabled again the f-droid repo in order to refresh the index, getting the error message "No mirrors available".
  • Same result with f-droid archive, once enabled.
  • Enabling guardian repo and archive works fine, those are refreshed ok.
  • Checked the configuration: tor was disabled (unlike #1959 (closed))
  • Opened the advanced settings and forced the old index format. When trying to refresh I get "Could not validate certificate"

What did you expect to see?

  • A few mirrors per repository, indexes refreshed and loads of available apps.

What did you see instead?

  • The errors mentioned above.
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
