Meaningful error message when installlation of apps fail due to low storage

Device OS and version: Android 8.1.0
Device model/manufacturer: Moto G5 (XT1676)
F-Droid version: 1.7.1
F-Droid privileged extension version (if installed): None

What did you do? (clear steps if possible)

Try to install (any) app when storage runs low on the device. (Android has a warning for this). I can download the app I want to install, but the installation itself fails to unknown error.

What did you expect to see?

I expected to see a warning that tells me I can not install the App due to low storage space.

What did you see instead?

A warning stating that during the installation an unknown error occurred

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
