1.3alpha2 breaks privileged extension

I noticed on three different devices (Android 4.3, 7.12, 8.x) f-droid does not use privileged extension anymore. Before update it was working as expected, after update the checkbox for using it stays as "not selected" - reselection does not work. When trying to reinstall the priv. extension f-droid is crashing and telling me something about "invalid signing".
