Update Notifications persist despite updating

• Device OS and version: Stock Android 8.1.0 (5th January 2018 Security Patch)
• Device model/manufacturer: Google Pixel 2 XL (128GB, "Just Black")
• F-Droid version (in the About screen): 1.1
• F-Droid privileged extension version (if installed): 0.2.7

What did you do? (clear steps if possible)

1. Install any app (in my case; Newpipe or Primitive ftpd)
2. Wait for it to have an update
3. Notification about the update will pop-up
4. Update the app from the notification or in F-Droid

What did you expect to see?

After updating the app to it's latest version, the notification to update should disappear. If dismissed and the app is updated, the notification should not return.

What did you see instead?

The notification to update returns multiple times for days after updating to the latest version, despite it being dismissed.
