Rotating tablet always triggers a F-Droid Repository update check

• Device model/manufacturer: Samsung Galaxy Tab S3
• F-Droid version (in the About screen): 1.1-alpha2
• F-Droid privileged extension version (if installed):

What did you do? (clear steps if possible)

Rotate Tablet (anywhere, even the lock screen)

What did you expect to see?

Nothing/-Fdroid Repository Update not triggered.

What did you see instead?

F-droid Repository Update triggered.

Possibly due to the alpha release, but whenever the tablet rotates orientation F-Droid starts checking and updating the repositories, as can be seen in the system tray notification at the top/lock screen notification.
