landing page focus
F-Droid's landing-page should in my opinion focus on getting users to install the app. Currently there's a lot going on on F-Droids landing page visually. It's not as easy for people visiting the site for the first time to filter all of that out, as for people who are visiting there on a regular basis.
The landing pages of these projects are illustrating that quite well in my opinion:
- Firefox
- Chrome
As you can see there's only one call to action. No side-bars, all menus toned down, etc. There's a clear focus. Further information is available, but unmistakably isolated from the main call to action.
