Most recent build status for a given app
The Wiki used to have a build status page for each app, e.g. https://f-droid.org/wiki/page/org.navitproject.navit. This URL is still linked as Technical information for each app, but the page apparently no longer gets any updates.
There is monitor.f-droid.org, but it has only a list of anti-features and the logs of the last build jobs.
The following two use cases are currently not addressed as far as I can tell:
- I would like to see build logs (or other build info) for app X, which was built a while back (and more build jobs have run since, so it’s not in the most recent data)
- I want to know if a newly submitted app has already been built—this might be in the last completed job, a few jobs back, in the currently running job, or the app might not have been picked up at all.
I see monitor.f-droid.org has the logs even for older builds at https://monitor.f-droid.org/builds/log/packageName/versionCode, so potential quick wins would be:
- Provide a list of builds (with links to the logs) for an app at https://monitor.f-droid.org/builds/log/packageName (this page currently just returns HTTP 404)
- Have https://monitor.f-droid.org/builds/log/packageName/latest (or similar) redirect to the most recent build log
- Gather a list of logs (sorted by package ID and version code) and provide it on the main page—even a list of package IDs and the latest build code (requiring me to use my browser’s search function) would already help.
