F-Droids repo could use a name
F-Droids central repository and the F-Droid client app are very distinct things, yet we refer to them under the same name. This makes it very hard to explain how F-Droid is federated. So I'd like to start a motion to create distinct names for easier differentiation of the two.
I'd suggest to:
- rename the repository to "F-Droid Central"
- keep calling the app "F-Droid"
So if we can reach consensus we should start at by renaming them on:
- fdroid-website
- fdroiddata
- "Get it on F-Droid" badge

edit: e.g. The introduction of f-droid.org:
F-Droid is an installable catalogue of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) applications for the Android platform. The client makes it easy to browse, install, and keep track of updates on your device.
could be updated to something like:
F-Droid™ Central™ is an installable catalogue of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) applications for the Android platform. The F-Droid™ App™ makes it easy to browse, install, and keep track of updates from F-Droid™ Central™ and 3rd repositories on your device.
Depending on our growth strategy (or accumulative gut feelings of our dev community) the part about 3rd party repos could be omitted.
On that note, we might also want to discuss a canonical name for 3rd party repositories. I think this is a super important distinction because we probably want to distance us from the content of all 3rd party repos, since the could contain non-free, anti-privacy or even malicious apps.
