Update assessmentView design to increase clarity
Feature Description
This seeks to update the assessmentView design to make it easier to understand, simpler to use, and less ambiguous all around. I'll be applying some of our draft UX principles to the endeavor.
Shout out to @djudjuu for picking up on this. Got to give respect when devs are actively finding potential UX pitfalls ++
Motivation and Context
The assessmentView design has a few elements which, when combined, make it confusing to know what to do next, or to understand what you're looking at.
- progressBar for assessees - the buttons look active, as though they can participate in them.
- The progressBar buttons and Meeting Point button add to the confusion.
- The status is the most important element for communicating context, but it isn't highlighted and can be lost within the rest of the design.
- The initial concept was for the progressBar to do just that: offer a visualization of the progress of the assessment. We then proposed making the Stake/Commit/Reveal elements buttons that enabled assessors to initiate and complete the relevant action required of them. We should seek to
reduce choice
by presenting them with a single, context-aware action for each stage.
Possible Implementation
I will mock up some redesigns in Figma and share them here.
This isn't highly urgent but should be addressed prior to user testing.
