Issue Reporter does not open in Incognito on Chrome and Opera
Environment
Bug present in current ABP release 3.5.2, in Chrome and Opera browsers.
Reproduction & observed behaviour
- While browser incognito, navigate to a site (for example https://www.example.com/) and click the 'Report issue' from the ABP bubble UI (make sure ABP is enabled for private browsing)
- Observe: the issue reporter and its additional tab are not opened in Incognito window. Instead they are opened in a 'normal' (non-private) window
- Move to the 2nd step of the issue reporter (Highlighting the issue)
- Observe: Incorrect screenshot is present
Expected
Either:
- When reporting an issue in incognito mode, issue reporter and the additional temporary tab are both opened in private window.
OR
- When reporting an issue in incognito mode, issue reporter and the additional temporary tab are both opened in normal window and brought to the front (in focus)
Regardless of which of the two solutions above we choose to go with, the screenshot in step 2 of the issue reporter should always show a page the issue reporter was initiated from.
