Convert the existing automation framework to the standard WebdriverIO configuration style
Background / User story
When we made the switch over to WebdriverIO, we wanted to make it with as little change as possible to the existing automation implementation. Unfortunately that resulted in hacking our way through it which resulted in some overhead and us not being able to use WebdriverIO's full functionality. However, as the framework is getting more complex and we want to use more and more of WebdriverIO's functionality, we run into all kinds of issues, so we want to convert everything to WebdriverIO standard style.

Development:
- Convert the existing automation framework to the standard WebdriverIO configuration and execution style which enables us to use all WebdriverIO functionality, without any overhead. Test cases will then be executed using the "npx wdio run" command, as stated here: https://webdriver.io/docs/gettingstarted
