- Add --diff command-line option to process git diff input from stdin - Implement git diff parser to extract changed line ranges - Add selective formatting that only processes modified line ranges - Preserve unchanged parts of files, even if they have formatting issues - Support all existing astyle formatting options (--style, --indent, etc.) - Add C++17 filesystem support to Makefile for file operations - Enable usage: git diff --cached | astyle --diff $ASTYLE_OPTS This allows astyle to be used in git pre-commit hooks to automatically format only the lines that are being committed, similar to how checkpatch works in the Lustre FS project.
