Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. In the file loader.py, when building the table for the observing mode, the currently implemented function consider only 'float' as observation parameters. See below:
table = pd.read_table(
file_handler,
delimiter=sep,
header=0 if header else None,
dtype="float")
Describe the solution you'd like It may appears that string can also be considered here. Filename can be set as observation parameters. For instance, when simulating transit of exoplanets, the flux of the star varies and the evolution of the stellar flux as a function of the observing time can be taken from the output of other simulation tools.
Describe alternatives you've considered in the loader.py file, it could be radically rewritten as :
table = pd.read_table(
file_handler,
delimiter=sep,
header=0 if header else None,
dtype="**string**")
But in this case only string will be considered. Something more generic (able to handle both cases) should be written.
